Requirements
- Participants must have compiled a kernel at least once for a standard desktop (non-embedded) Linux system.
- Familiarity with the components that constitute the Linux userspace on a desktop system.
- Ability to generate and apply patches.
- Capacity to explain the function of GNU Make and Autotools, as well as identify other existing build systems.
- Experience maintaining at least one Linux package, either as an upstream contributor or within a traditional Linux desktop distribution, is ideal.
- Previous embedded development experience is not required and does not substitute for the knowledge of traditional Linux desktops outlined above.
