Day 3 provides a technical examination of foundational cloud computing platforms. The curriculum explores Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments as composite patterns made up of distinct and shared components. Structured as a guided tour through these architectural layers, the session describes primary and shared components, explaining how building blocks can be assembled and implemented using cloud computing mechanisms and best practices.
Day 4 expands on Day 3 by providing an in-depth look at elastic, resilient, and multi-tenant technology architectures, along with specialized solution architectures such as cloud bursting and cloud balancing. Through the study of architectural mechanisms, industry technologies, and design patterns, the course describes both core and extended components that contribute to the primary characteristics of cloud platforms: elasticity, resiliency, and multi-tenancy. By leveraging native and enhanced scalability and failover features, specialized solution architectures are detailed to facilitate bursting between cloud and on-premise environments, as well as balancing runtime loads across clouds to optimize performance and ensure failover capabilities.
Day 5 presents participants with a series of exercises and problems designed to assess their ability to apply the knowledge acquired in previous sessions.
