It is a server-based system that runs in a servlet container such as Apache Tomcat. Jenkins supports a number of Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools, including CVS, Subversion, Git, Perforce, and Clearcase, among others. It is highly scriptable and provides support for Apache Ant, Apache Maven, shell scripts, and Windows batch commands.
