PROFESSIONAL SCRUM MASTER™ I Training Course
The Professional Scrum Master™ Level I (PSM I) assessment is open to anyone looking to validate their depth of knowledge regarding the Scrum framework and its practical application. Successful candidates will receive the industry-recognized PSM I Certification, demonstrating their fundamental mastery of Scrum.
Enrollment in a course is not mandatory. If you believe you already possess a high level of Scrum knowledge, a strong grasp of the Scrum Guide, and the ability to apply Scrum within Scrum Teams, you may opt to take the PSM I assessment directly. However, courses are available to help you prepare for the assessment and deepen your understanding of Scrum. Depending on your role, we highly recommend either the 2-day Professional Scrum Foundations or the Professional Scrum Master course.
Course Overview
During this two-day class*, students are challenged to explore Agile and Scrum principles, enabling them to better understand how to apply Scrum to support their teams and organizations effectively.
Developed by Scrum.org, the course utilizes a blend of instructor-led instruction and activity-based learning, where students collaborate in teams. Professional Scrum Trainers (PSTs) bring their own Scrum Master experiences and stories to the classroom, using their professional training skills to deliver the material in their unique style. The result is an engaging and enjoyable learning experience that allows students to gain a deep understanding of Scrum theory and principles, the accountabilities of the Scrum Master, and the importance of each element within the Scrum framework.
Upon completion, students will appreciate Professional Scrum, the Agile mindset, and how to address common myths and impediments to agility. They will acquire the knowledge and understanding necessary to select and apply the practices and techniques most beneficial for their Scrum Teams.
